MID LAKE PROTECTION & MANAGEMENT DISTRICT: Mid Lake Early Season CLP Harvesting Program & AIS Project

Purpose

The Mid Lake P&R District is sponsoring a project for Mid Lake in Oneida County focusing on AIS education and CLP monitoring. Project activities include: 1) Initiate a watercraft inspection program; 2) Annual volunteer AIS monitoring; 3) Entry of inspection and monitoring forms into SWIMS; 4) Develop and install kiosk in Thoroughfare; 5) Conduct CLP pre/post harvesting monitoring and mapping; 6) Develop and distribute an AIS pamphlet; 7) Prepare annual summaries and final report. Project deliverables include: 1) Entered data from inspection and monitoring into SWIMS; 2) Kiosk and AIS pamphletl; 3) Annual pre/post monitoring data and maps; 4) Annual reports and final report summarizing AIS activities, CLP monitoring and future management guidance. Specific Conditions: Annual reports and final report needs Dept review and approval. WDNR Lakes Management Coordinator will be provided with an electronic (pdf or word) copy of annual reports and final report, an AIS pamphlet, and a photograph of completed kiosk.
