TOWN OF NEWBOLD: Two Sisters Lake Management Planning Project, Phase 2

Purpose

The Town of Newbold is sponsoring a phased large scale lake planning grant project to study Two Sisters Lake, in Oneida County. The project will focus on developing a Lake Management Plan (LMP) for Two Sisters Lake. Grant applications for Phases 3 and 4 of the project will be submitted for funding consideration in August 2011. Phase 2 project activities include: 1) Stakeholder participation \2013 kick-off meeting, news release(s), and newsletter article; 2) Point-intercept (PI) aquatic plant survey; 3) AIS education and prevention \2013 hire CB/CW coordinator, update AIS signage, newsletters, and volunteer inspection efforts; 4) Data entry of inspection forms into SWIMS. Project deliverables include: 1) News release(s), and newsletter article; 2) Hired CB/CW coordinator; 3) PI data and aquatic plant vouchers; 4) Entered watercraft inspection data into SWIMS. WDNR Lakes Management Coordinator will be provided with an electronic (pdf or word) copy of news release(s), newsletter article, PI data, all maps and all GIS data from project, and aquatic plant vouchers.
