Purpose
This free workshop runs from 9:00 am 12:00 pm in Washburn County. The workshop will be held in the Spooner Agricultural Reserach Station, W6646 Hwy 70 in Spooner. To register, or for more information, contact Lisa Burns, Washburn County AIS Coordinator, at 715-468-4654 or via email at lburns@co.washburn.wi.us. The Clean Boats, Clean Waters (CBCW) watercraft inspection program provides an opportunity to learn how and why educational awareness is vitally important in preventing the spread of aquatic invasive species (AIS). This workshop will provide attendees with an overview of AIS, instructions on how to organize an effective watercraft inspection program, and hands-on training for watercraft inspections and AIS identification. For more information on the CBCW program, visit http://www.uwsp.edu/cnr/uwexlakes/cbcw.
