Project RED Training Session 08/09/2011

Purpose
9:00 am - 5:00 pm (Training from 9-Noon with paddle to follow) The River Alliance of Wisconsin and Northern Paddle and Trails, in addition to the Oneida County Land and Water Department and the University of Wisconsin-Extension, will collectively host a classroom training and paddle to teach citizens how to monitor for invasive species in rivers. During this FREE training, the River Alliance will teach participants to monitor rivers by canoe, kayak, or on foot for 16 species of concern. An optional paddle on the Tomahawk River will be held from 12:30 to approximately 5:00 p.m. Paddlers must bring all necessary paddling equipment. Registration is required by August 5th.
