Purpose
This workshop will take place from 9:00 am – Noon at the KempBiological Research Station, Minocqua. E-mail: jhansen@co.oneida.wi.us The Citizen LakeMonitoring Network Aquatic Invasive Species (AIS) monitoring workshopspeakers provide details on aquatic invasive species identification andlife cycles; instructions on how to organize an effective monitoringteam; where and when to look for the invasives; as well as what to doif you suspect that you have found an invasive plant or animal. Mostworkshops will offer hands-on training for invasive speciesidentification. Workshop hosts will offer participants a monitoring kit at no charge (one free kit per lake). Additional kits and supplieshelpful in assisting you in collection and identification of the plantsand animals may be offered “for sale” at the workshops.
