Deliverables include a comprehensive report with: 1) A summary of project accomplishments and progress including APM plan implementation, data collected, CB/CW program, and monitoring; 2) CB/CW report including time and number of people reached and survey results; daily results will be entered into SWIMS database; 3) Verification of workshops/training such as agendas and attendance lists; 4) Report on public outreach including copies of educational materials paid by this grant; 5) Report on public outreach/demo site for riparian BMP; 6) Report on AIS treatment, pre/post survey, and residual testing; 7) Report on marker buoys; 8) Report on monitoring observations of any detected invasive species with appropriate maps; 9) AIS related materials generated or paid for by this grant. Special conditions for this project: The sponsor shall immediately contact the DNR if a new aquatic invasive species is found. This scope summarizes details provided in the grant application and does not negate tasks/deliverables described therein. Data, records, and reports, including GIS-based maps and digital images, must be submitted to the Department in a format specified by the AIS Coordinator. It is recommended that Grantee provide AIS Coordinator with a draft final report. If a consultant is to provide a final report, it is recommended that the Grantee provide DNR AIS Coordinator with a draft for comment on report adequacy prior to making final payment to the consultant. Reports and Documents
Initial expectations were to treat 34 areas totaling 9.83 acres with liquid or granular 2, 4-D (Navigate/Sculpin G/DMA4) at concentrations of 3-4pp (Figure 3) (Appendix I). Unfortunately, the pretreatment survey found that EWM was more widespread than expected. Because of this, the treatment was revised to include 21 areas covering 15.27 acres (Table 1). This treatment was conducted by Dale Dressel - Northern Aquatics Services (NAS) on June 25th. Based on additional documents provided by NAS, three additional herbicide treatments covering 2.05 acres and 223 individual “spots” occurred on July 15, August 20th, and September 30th (Table 1).
Initial expectations were to treat 12 areas totaling 7.02 acres with liquid or granular 2, 4-D (Navigate) at a concentration of 1.5-3ppm (Figure 3) (Appendix I). The pretreatment survey revealed that, although EWM was patchy, it was found on point or inter-point in all areas. Because of this, it was decided to maintain all treatment areas as initially proposed (Table 1). This treatment was conducted by Northern Aquatics Services (Dale Dressel) on July 8th.
Initial expectations were to treat 16 areas totaling 21.10 acres with granular 2, 4-D (Navigate) at a concentration of 1.5 ppm (Table 1). The pretreatment survey revealed that, although EWM was patchy, it was found on point or interpoint in all areas. Because of this, it was decided to maintain all treatment areas as proposed. This initial treatment was conducted by Northern Aquatics Services on June 18th (Figure 3) (Appendix I). On June 28th, 189 spot treatments in the “S” areas added two additional acres to this total. Following the posttreatment survey, a July 30 spot treatment of 43 spots located throughout the lake covered 0.25 acres. This was followed by another 51 spots covering 0.50 acres on September 5th.
