MOEN LAKE CHAIN ASSOCIATION: Moen Lake Chain AIS Project

Purpose

Moen Lake Chain Association is sponsoring an AIS EPP grant on the Moen Chain in Oneida County. The project will focus on AIS education, prevention and monitoring. Project activities include: 1) Hire an AIS coordinator; 2) Recruit volunteers and implement a CB/CW program; 3) Conduct AIS citizen lake monitoring following Dept/UW Ext guidelines; 4) Entry of inspection and monitoring forms into SWIMS; 5) AIS education- disperse information in local community, share results of project in newsletter and local media; 6) Develop final report; Project deliverables include: 1) Entered inspection and monitoring data into SWIMS; 2) AIS coordinator; 3) AIS educational and outreach activities; 4) Final report summarizing CB/CW activities, AIS monitoring and AIS educational activities. Specific Conditions for this project: Final report needs Dept review and approval. WDNR Lakes Management Coordinator will be provided with an electronic (pdf or word) copy of final report and samples of educational and outreach products.
