Project RED Training Session 5/31/2012 - Harborside Academy

Purpose
A Project RED (riverine early detectors) training will be held in theFirefly room at on May 31. Project RED volunteers will be taught to identify 15 invasive species that threaten the health of Wisconsin’s rivers and streams. Volunteers will also learn how to verify their findings andhow to use a GPS unit and online database to map and report them.Volunteers are asked to use these skills to monitor a river of their choice twice a summer at their convenience for invasives.
