The Sevenmile Lake Adaptive Management Plan results from a large-scale project funded by a Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources (WDNR) Lake Planning Grant. The project was sponsored by the Sevenmile Lake Association (SLA) and coordinated by White Water Associates, Inc., an independent ecological consulting firm and environmental laboratory. Since Sevenmile Lake was a primary subject of this project, the SLA is the recipient of this adaptive management plan.

Sevenmile Lake Association is sponsoring a phased planning project to study Sevenmile Lake, in Oneida County. The project will focus on developing a Lake Management Plan (LMP) for Sevenmile Lake. Phase 1 was funded during the Feb 1, 2012 grant cycle and Phase 2 is being funded with this grant.
Phase 2 activities include: 1) Volunteer frog and toad monitoring and angler\2019s journal program; 2) Watershed assessment and water quality sampling; 3) Rare species assessment and shoreland assessment; 4) Educational program \2013 stakeholder survey, watercraft inspections, lake ecology workshop, meetings, newsletter articles, and press releases; 5) Develop LMP.
Project deliverables include: 1) Stakeholder survey, water quality, rare species, frog and toad, angler\2019s journal, shoreland, and watershed data; 2) Shoreland and watershed maps; 3) Entered inspection data into SWIMS; 4) Education materials; 5) LMP.
