COLUMBIA COUNTY: Healy Dairy Runoff Management

Purpose
To cost-share implementation of runoff management practices on the dairy operation to re-establish vegetation, protect the waters of the North Branch Duck Creek and Lake Wisconsin, and address violations of NR 151 Agricultural Performance Standards and Prohibitions relating to manure storage facilities-new, manure storage facilities-closure, clean water diversions, nutrient management, prevention of unconfined manure piles in water quality management areas, prevention of direct runoff from a feedlot or stored manure into waters of the state, and prevention of unlimited livestock access to waters of the state. Amendment #3: delete all BMPs except R33, Waste Transfer Systems, and increase cost-share rate to 90%.
