SPRING LAKE OF WAUKESHA CO PROP OWNERS ASSOC: Phragmites Eradication & Restoration Plan

Purpose

The Spring Lake Property Owners Association will hire a contractor to map the extent of a Phragmites infestation and to develop an eradication plan. Phragmites was documented in the wetland complex surrounding portions of Spring Lake in June 2012. The final report will contain the following elements: 1) an overall map of GPS locations of all clusters of Phragmites found in the wetland complex; 2) zoomed in maps denoting the extent of the larger clusters of Phragmites; 3) a discussion of the timing of treatments, range of treatment concentrations and techniques to be used on the various Phragmites clusters; 4) estimated costs for treatments; 5) plans for follow up treatments; 6) a discussion of the % coverage or % kill will be considered an achievable goal; 7) timetable by year for reaching the achievable goal; and 8) the raw GPS locational data. The DNR will be provided with two paper copies and an electronic copy of the final report.
