LAKE NOKOMIS CONCERNED CITIZEN'S INC.: Lk. Nokomis 2006 Eurasian Water Milfoil Control

Purpose

The Lake Nokomis Concerned Citizens, Inc. will sponosor a project to chemically treat Eurasian Water Milfoil (EWM) during the spring of 2006 in Lake Nokomis with the goal of early eradication (year two). Products include: 1) Beds of EWM will be chemically treated in accordance with the Department issued chemical control permit; 2) Pre and post treatment surveys for known and unknown areas of infestation, maps of the location and density of EWM with GPS will be developed; 3) Final report including a treatment summary, pre and post survey results, and maps will be made available in both electronic form and paper copy to the Department of Natural Resources. Copies of the final report will also be made available to Oneida and Lincoln County Land and Water Conservation Departments, local lake associations and districts.
