Description of Incident/General Comments |
DAVE BEATTIE CALLED JOHN SAGER AND LEFT A VM MESSAGE FOR THE STATUS OF THE SPILL ON 12/28/09. SAGER SPOKE WITH BEATTIE ON 1/21/10 AT APPROX 1045HRS. THE VALVE FROM THE CONTAINMENT AREA IS CLOSED AND MURPHY HAS COLLECTED THE FREE PRODUCT. MURPHY IS INTERMITTENTLY FLOODING THE CONTAINENT AREA AND RECOVERING PRODUCT. MURPHY WILL KEEP THE CONTAINMENT AREA CLOSED UNTIL SPRING AND CONTINUE WITH CLEANUP ACTIVITIES AS WEATHER DICTATES. SAGER RECEIVED ANALYTICAL RESULTS FROM WATER SAMPLES COLLECTED FROM WATER CONTAINED IN SECONDARY CONTAINMENT IN MARCH AND MAY 2010. SAGER SENT RESULTS TO WATERS PROGRAM FOR CONCURRENCE ON ALLOWING MURPHY TO DISCHARGE THE REMAINING WATER AS A SURFACE WATER DISCHARGE. |
