10-06-10, DNR HIRED VEOLIA TO HELP INVESTIGATE AND CLEAN UP THE GASOLINE COMMING UP FROM THE ROAD. SAND AND ABSORBENT MATERIAL WAS APPLIED TO THE ROAD DITCH AND A SAMPLE OF THE WATER WAS COLLECTED. 10-15-10, THE GASOLINE IN THE WATER IS THOUGHT TO BE FROM THE OLD GAS STATION THAT WAS CLOSED WITH SIMILAR LEVELS OF GASOLINE REMAINING IN THE WATER. THE COUNTY AND DOT ARE GOING TO MONITOR THE SITUATION AND MAY END UP EXCAVATING THIS CRACKED PIECE OF ROADWAY IN ORDER TO ELIMINATE THE WATER BUBBLING UP ONTO THE ROAD.
