REPORTING PARTY CONTACTED DNR SPILL COORDINATOR JOHN SAGER, DOUGLAS COUNTY EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT, COAST GUARD, AND NRC. HOTLINE CONTACTED DNR WARDEN JOHN KRULL. WARDEN KRULL HAD ALREADY BEEN CONTACTED BY SPILL COORDINATOR SAGER.SAGER SPOKE WITH PETER FREDMAN ON 1/21/2011. MURPHY HAS LAID OUT STEAM HOSES WITHIN THE SPILL AREA AND ARE STEAMING AND RECOVERING WATER. FREEMAN CHECKS THE SPILL AREA DAILY. DIFFICULT TO RECOVER ANYTHING INTHE COLD. THEY WILL HIT IS HARDER WHEN THE WEATHER WARMS UP. SAGER SPOKE WITH PETER FREDMAN ON 02/16/11. MURPHY IS VACUUMING WATER OUT OF THE CONTAINMENT AREA TODAY. THEY WILL CONTINUE TO RECOVER WAER AS WEATHER WARMS UP. MURPHY WILL THEN FLUSH THE AREA AND RECOVER WATER FOR TREATMENT. SAGER DISCUSSED THE NEED FOR SOIL AND GROUNDWATER SAMPLES. SAGER RECEIVED EMAIL UPDATE FROM FREDMAN ON 03/07/2011. 40,000 GALLONS OF WATER WAS REMOVED FROM THE CONTAINMENT AREA ON 02/17/2011. SAGER RECEIVED SAMPLE RESULTS FROM FREDMAN ON 05/09/11.SAGER TRANSFERRED TO ERP ON 12/07/11. BRRTS NUMBER: 02-16-557992 |
