The DNR has established limits on the size and number of tournaments on some lakes and rivers to minimize concerns such as crowding, the spread of invasive species and indirect fish mortality. Additionally, an application fee is required to cover the increasing cost of implementing the tournament fishing program.
Select Do I Need a Permit? and answer a series of questions to determine if you need a permit.
First, check your waterbody to see if your tournament date is available View Tournament Schedule.
Next, select Apply for a Tournament to begin your application.
Use the 'My Tournaments' portal to enter your tournament's results or review your current and past tournament applications.
Select Register for a Tournament to begin your registration.
