Arkdale Lake - Adams County - Critical Habitat Designation
The critical habitat areas designated on Arkdale Lake were selected because of their importance for fish and wildlife habitat, importance for protecting water quality, importance of the natural buffer of terrestrial vegetation, and importance of protecting the aquatic plant communities they supported. The sites need to be preserved in their current natural state and should not be further developed because they exert benefits for the entire lake community.
