GLACIERLAND RC&D, INC.: Sheboygan County AIS Education, Prevention & Planning 2016

Galcierland RC & D is sponsoring a project to hire an 0.5 FTE AIS coordinator for Sheboygan County for a three year period.

Project final deliverables: all data collected; enter all data into SWIMS; list of achievements for each 6 month period of the grant; P/I survey results; copies of all plans developed; photos of Kiosks installed; reports on results of all annual events; summary of volunteer efforts over the whole grant period; and maps of all AIS surveyed.

Specific project activities: 1) Participate in annual events such as Project RED; 2) Training volunteers for the annual events; 3) Coordinate with Sheboygan County Highway Department for management of invasive plants in R.O.W.; 4) Install AIS signs and Cleaning Kiosks at launches where needed; 5) Develop a plan to map and control Hairy Willow Herb; 6) Conduct 3 P/I surveys on lakes that need a survey following DNR protocols; 7) Implement a CBCW program, minimum of 200 hours/year; 8) Hold AIS workshops and training for groups and citizens; 9) Respond to new AIS findings and coordinate with DNR Lakes Biologist.

Special Conditions: 1) CLMN efforts should be in coordination with the regional CLMN biologist and not duplicate existing efforts; 2) All data shall be entered into the SWIMS database; 3) Volunteer lists and signatures shall be maintained for reporting in kind volunteer labor.

This scope summarizes the project detail provided in the application and does not negate tasks/deliverables described therein. Data, records, and reports, including GIS-based maps, and digital images, must be submitted to the Department in a format specified by the regional Lake Biologist.

If consultant is to provide final report, it is recommended that Grantee provide DNR Lake Coordinator with a draft for comment on report adequacy prior to making final payment to the consultant. DNR to receive both paper and electronic .pdf copies of the final report along with, or prior to submission of grantee's final payment request.
