Iron County LWCD is sponsoring a surface water restoration grant to assist private landowners on shoreland restoration projects that will protect walleye spawning areas and promote water quality in Trude Lake, Iron County.

Project final deliverables include: Final report, conservation covenants and restored shorelines.

Specific project activities include: 1) Provide technical assistance and cost-share to 3 Trude Lake landowners for erosion concerns and/or stormwater runoff issues; 2) A conservation covenant will be placed on the landowner's deed, requiring the shoreland protection practice to be maintained in perpetuity to protect this investment; 3) Develop final report with pictures of before/after restoration.

Special Conditions: 1) Draft of final report needs Dept review and approval.

This scope summarizes the project detail provided in the application and does not negate tasks/deliverables described therein. Data, records, and reports, including GIS-based maps, and digital images, must be submitted to the Department in a format specified by the regional Lake Biologist.

If consultant is to provide final report, it is recommended that Grantee provide DNR Lake Coordinator with a draft for comment on report adequacy prior to making final payment to the consultant.
