ROLLING STONE LAKE P & R DISTRICT: Rolling Stone Lake Management Planning Project, Phase 1

Rolling Stone Lake District is sponsoring a 2 phased lake planning grant project to study Rolling Stone Lake in Langlade County. The project will focus on developing a Lake Management Plan (LMP) for Rolling Stone Lake. A component of the LMP will be an aquatic plant harvesting plan.

Project activities include: 1) Stakeholder participation - kick-off meeting, stakeholder survey, planning meetings (up to 2), wrap-up meeting, news release, and newsletter article; 2) Water quality sampling and analysis (Secchi, P, Chla, DO, temp, N, conductivity, pH, Alk, suspended solids, and Calcium) - sampling by citizen monitor and consultant; 3) Aquatic plant community mapping and analysis; 4) Curly-leaf pondweed survey; 5) Fisheries assessment; 6) Watershed assessment; 7) Develop LMP.
