COUDERAY WATERS REGIONAL LAND TRUST: Moose Lake Legacy Initiative: Phase II Island Protection Planning
Couderay Waters Regional Land Trust is sponsoring the The Moose Lake Legacy Initiative (Phase II) project which will focus on establishing the ownership status of 24 islands (highest priority) on Moose Lake. Ownership of these islands is unclear because Moose Lake is a flowage system created by a dam owned by Xcel Energy. The goal is to protect these lands in a natural state to preserve scenic beauty, high quality fishery and water quality through land purchase or conservation easements.
