Waupaca County proposes to classify the shoreline of rivers and streams and develop shoreline zoning ordinance recommendations that will cover all of Waupaca County. Some of the activities included in this project follow: 1) prepare maps of the study area, 2) prepare a classification system, 3) identify all segments of all the rivers based on how they are classified, 4) prepare a draft report of the evaluation and classification system, get input from staff, then prepare a final report, 5) provide a land use report and develop regulations for shorelines. The Department of Natural Resources will be provided with both a paper copy and an electric copy of the final report. The project results will be disseminated to the public by fact sheet(s) and entire report mailings(s), public meeting(s) as well has having the report available for the public at the Waupaca County Courthouse.
