Establish baseline survey data on Landowner's knowledge of water quality, horticulture practices, construction site erosion and septic systems. Educate lakeshore owners on shoreline zoning, lake and water ecology, good horticulture practices, how septicsystems work, and the importance of household water testing and the interpretation of those results. Conduct 100 household water testing samples and interpret the results showing what action can be taken to improve drinking water quality.Conduct workshops for local officials, contractors dealing with water issues. Design educational exhibits relating water quality to be used in the Lake Tainter area.Disseminate information to the public by neewsletter mailings, fact sheet distributions, public meetings, summary report mailings, newpaper articles, poster displays, and lake fair and county fair exhibits.
