PEARL LAKE PROTECTION & REHABILITATION DIST: Pearl Lake Eurasian Watermilfoil Weevil Study

Purpose

The Pearl Lake Protection & Rehabilitation District proposes to evaluate the effect of the supplemental enhancement of weevil populations as a selective aquatic plant management technique to control Myriophyllum spicatum. Project activities will result in a field evaluation of experimental weevil stocking, a status report and presentation to the lake group, and a final report including feasibility recommendations. The Department of Natural Resources will be provoided with a paper copy and an electronic copy of the final report. Information about the project will be disseminated to the public by fact sheet distribution, public meeting, and summary report mailing.
