CITY OF DELAFIELD: Nagawicka Lake Phase 1 Lake Management Plan

Purpose

The City of Delafield proposes to conduct phase 1 of the following lake management plans incooperation with WI DNR, SEWRPC and Nagawicka Lake Improvement Association on Nagawicka Lake: 1) Bring together and study all the exsisting watershed and water quality and quantity data on Nagawicka Lake, the watershed and the County. 2) Water quality evaluation that closely examines all previously gathered data and confirms it with field studies and site evaluations including up-date and complete the limnological data base, aquatic plant inventory to determine specifics of sensitive areas and aquatic plant management plan. 3) Reacreational use and shoreline condition surveys and inventory will be conducted on Nagawicka Lake. 5) Assess the extent of the watershed protection needs. 6) Based on the recreational use survey analyses and inventory, a present and future recreational uses assements will be made on Nagawicka Lake. 7) The final report will identify water quality and use problems currently and future changes and impacts, and become the basis of future protection and rehabilitation measures.
