The Spring Lake Protection & Rehabilitation District proposes to conduct a diagnostic feasibility study that will include an evaluation of lake and tributary water quality, especially nutrients; survey of aquatic plants (emergent, submergents and floating leaf); and develop management options and water quality goals. The feasibility study report will include an aquatic plant survey with mapping of exotic species; a trophic condition appraisal of lake water, including a nutrient budget and TSI development; appraisal of tributary water quality; lake model development, including lake trophic response model including specific water quality goals; development of water budget, including inlet/outlet flow, groundwater flow and mapping; delineate watershed and conduct land use inventory; and management objective setting for aquatic plants and water quality. A final report will be developed and shared with the DNR.
