BIG HILLS LAKE PROTECTION & REHABILITATION D: Big Hills Lake Comprehensive Management Plan Study

Purpose

The Big Hills Lake Protection & Rehabilitation District proposes to conduct a comprehensive lake management plan. Project deliverables include public education, goal and objective setting, mapping of watershed and land uses, aquatic macrophyte survey, and water quality sampling. (See application for more details.) The DNR will be provided with both a paper copy and an electronic copy of the final report. Information will be disseminated to the public as described in the grant application.

Lakes Planning Report A comprehensive study of Big Hills Lake, Waushara County, Wisconsin was completed during 2002 and 2003. The study was completed to provide information concerning the lake and its watershed so a comprehensive lake management plan could be written for the lake. Funding for this study and the development of the plan was provided by the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources Lake Management Grant Program and the Big Hills Lake Protection and Rehabilitation District.
