PEARL LAKE PROTECTION & REHABILITATION DIST: Pearl Lake Aquatic Invasive Species Study

Purpose
The Pearl Lake District proposes to contact a project focused on aquatic plant management, to include: 1. Conduct a submergent aquatic plant appraisal via line transect methods and map existing stands of EWM, curly leaf pondweed, and purple loosestrife 2. Conduct a emergent plant appraisal via line transect -transect methodology 3. Summarization of available lake data, especially self-help volunteer information 4. Conduct an evaluation of habitat relative to fishery, existing data (abundance, age, length, weight), fish stocking with cooperative consultation from DNR fish program staff. 5. Prepare a final report and make recommendations. 6. Specific actions are identified within the original planning grant proposal.
