Purpose

The Wisconsin Association of Lakes proposes to provide education and assistance to lake residents to encourage involvement in local lake management organizations and issues. Project activities include hiring an LTE employee to implement the project, 2) developing a computer database of riparian landowners, 3) conducting a survey of lake residents, 4) develop an expanded county lake management education program, 5)assist interested lake property owners with the formation of lake organizations via presentations, and 6) produce a final report discussing the project results. A paper copy and an electronic copy of the final report will be provided to the Department of Natural Resources. The sponsor will disseminate information about the project results to the public by newsletter, fact sheet distribution, and public meeting. end.
