Grant Awarded
The Long and Bass Lake Association will conduct a project, which will be the preliminary steps to a Comprehensive Lake Management Plan. The project will be used to conduct a property owner survey, for the development of a feasibility and action plan for a comprehensive lakes plan, will communicate critical shoreline issues and water quality issues to the lake residents, and enhance the leadership and knowledge of the lakes association leadership. A sediment core sample will also be completed for a historical view of the lake.
Deliverables:
1. Information and Education through Association meetings and newsletters regarding findings of project
2. Sending one representative to Lake Leaders Institute.
3. Sending representatives to the WAL convention.
