NELSON LAKE ASSOCIATION: Nelson Lake Comprehensive Mgt. Plan, Phase 1

Purpose

The Nelson Lake Association will conduct a two phase study project to collect information and prepare a lake management plan for Nelson Lake. Specific activities covered in the Phase 1 portion of this project include; conduct of several planning and I&E meetings, delineation and analysis of the lake's watershed and modeling of various development and loading scenarios, lake and inlet water quality monitoring, data analysis and report/plan development and travel time and costs. Specific deliverables for this two-phase study project include: A final project report and comprehensive lake management plan, including all project activity results and lake management alternatives and recommendations. The Department of Natural Resources will be provided with both a paper copy and an electronic copy of the final report. The project results will be disseminated to the public by newsletter(s), public meeting(s), and local newspaper articles
