GEORGE LAKE REHABILITATION DISTRICT: 2015 Nutrient Load Analysis

Purpose

The George Lake Rehabilitation District will continue a previously started sampling effort to study nutrients in 4 tributaries to George Lake. Samples will be taken on two separate days following rain events. Flow rate will be determined at each sampling site on each sampling date. Samples will be taken for total phosphorus, orthophosphate, chloride, suspended solids and nitrate/nitrite. The project deliverable will be a short report that contains a description of field methods, compiles the data from this grant as well as data collected previous to this grant, a discussion of what the data does and does not resolve and a discussion of next steps. A draft of the report shall be provided to both Heidi Bunk and Craig Helker prior to finalizing the report. Two paper copies and 1 electronic copy of the report should be provided to the Department.
