Fenwood Creek, Marathon County TWA/WQ Report

Purpose

The purpose of this study of Fenwood Creek (Lower Big Eau Pleine River Watershed, Marathon County) was to collect baseline macroinvertebrate samples to assess biological conditions for 9 Key element plan and future implementation of BMPs in watershed. This data was combined with chemistry and habitat data from the Fenwood Creek 2017-2019 study to produce, "Fenwood Creek, Marathon County, Water Quality Report to Restore Wisconsin's Waters" (TWA/WQ Plan, 2021).

Objective

Ten macroinvertebrate samples will be collected from mainstem streams in the Fenwood Watershed including six sample from Fenwood, three samples from Rocky Run and one sample from an unnamed Stream.

Outcome

Collected samples will be delivered to UWSP for sorting and analysis. Macroinvertebrate HBI and IBI indexes will be used to evaluate stream quality.
