LAKE MANAGEMENT PLAN UPDATEFOR MARY AND ELIZABETH LAKES

Twin Lakes Lake Protection & Rehabilitation District, contracting with SEWRPC, is sponsoring a project to update their Lake Management Plan as it relates to the development of the 2014 spillway and the effect on lake health, and include updated lake data to develop best management practices. Activities: 1) analyze the design, functionality, and performance of new spillway compared to old dam; 2) evaluate public sources of historical weather conditions including temperature, wind, and precipitation patterns; 3) amend lake water elevation database; 4) update lake water quality database; 5) evaluate factors influencing runoff water quality and quantity; 6) examine water level control policies and infrastructure; 7) determine land use changes, runoff, and stormwater sources affecting Lakes.
