OZAUKEE COUNTY: Little Menomonee River Corridor Ecosystem Restoration

Purpose

Ozaukee County Planning & Parks is conducting a stream habitat restoration project on a MMSD owned 56 acre parcel, north of Mequon Road, on the Little Menomonee River. Project deliverables: 1900 ft of meandering stream w/large wood habitat features; 4.2ac. of created wetland, including 1.5ac. emergent marsh; create 0.37ac. wooded ephemeral pond; create 1.7ac. waterfowl appropriate wetland; restore wetland hydrology for up to 50ac. Printed and digital copy of report shall be submitted. Report shall include a summary of all activities conducted under this grant, and a summary of data. Project activities: 1) grant administration, including all required financial and progress reporting, and documenting project and match expenses 2) complete Design Memo and project Plan sets (60%, 90%, 100%), Technical Specifications Document, and EOPC document 3) assemble all necessary Construction Contract and Bid documents through to an awarded/signed contract 4) complete construction and restoration oversite, including obtaining all necessary Federal, State, and local permits, environmental compliance approvals, and attendance at and documentation of necessary meetings and correspondence between principals. 5)Conduct field monitoring and preparing report on collected data. Special Conditions: Final report to include a summary of Education and Outreach activities conducted for the project. This scope summarizes the project detail provided in the application and does not negate tasks/deliverables described therein. Records, reports, and digital images must be submitted to the Department in a format specified by the regional River Coordinator. If a consultant is to provide final report, it is recommended that Grantee provide DNR Rivers Coordinator with a draft for comment on report adequacy prior to making final payment to the consultant. DNR to receive both paper and electronic .pdf copies of the final report along with, or prior to submission of grantee's final payment request.
