LONG LAKE ASSOCIATION: Long Lake Comprehensive Lake Survey

Purpose

The Long Lake Association proposes to conduct a comprehensive lake study on their lake. The project will conduct appraisals and develop the following products: 1. Invasive plant species mapping, 2. Point Intercept survey of aquatic plants, 3. Water quality sampling in each lake basin, TSI development, profiling, 4. Historical water quality summary and interpretation, 5. Watershed appraisal of land uses including WILMS Lake Modeling, 6. Watershed appraisal including visual identification of potential nutrient and sediment sources with recommended strategies, 7. Shore area identification high erosion, instability, and general riparian health, 8. Septic system survey system age, maintenance history, days of use and # of residents. Watershed and septic assessments will be integrated with Waushara County, 9. The above elements will be incorporated into a final report with recommendations following citizen participation process. AMENDMENT: #8 SEPTIC SYSTEM SURVEY IS DELETED.
