SAWYER COUNTY: Sawyer County Mapping Project

Purpose

The Sawyer County is sponsoring a project to map the locations of aquatic invasive species throughout the county. The project includes the following goals: 1) purchase a mapping system for the department that will allow accurate mapping of AIS locations; 2) produce maps of lakes with known infestations to chart AIS over a period of time; 3) provide data collected to the SWIMS and GLIFWIC databases. Project deliverables include: provide maps to the lake associations for management. Specific conditions: provide lake maps to the lakes coordinator and enter them into SWIMS.
