FOX LAKE INLAND LAKE P & R DISTRICT: Drew Creek Monitoring-Fox Lake

Purpose

Fox Lake Inland Lake Protection and Rehabilitation District will sponsor a monitoring project of the Drew Creek subwatershed of Fox Lake, Dodge County. Through field sampling and reporting, this project will collect additional data on sources of nitrogen, phosphorus and sediment entering Fox Lake from this subwatershed. The goal of the project is to identify which activities are contributing to the high concentration of nutrients and suspended sediments. This project was recommended in the draft Fox Lake Management Strategy Evaluation Report and Recommendations for Future Action, 2007. The following project deliverables are expected: 1)tabulation of all laboratory and flow measurements; 2) tabulation of calculations of instantaneous nutrient and sediment loads for each site/date; and 3) preparation of a technical report with suggested general remedial actions including watershed best management practices to protect water quality.
