DUCKS UNLIMITED: LMI - Lake Puckaway Habitat Restor,: Dredgebank Restoration - Ph 1

Purpose

Ducks Unlimited is sponsoring a project on Lake Puckaway to restore aquatic habitat via the reconstruction of a dredge-bank. This is Phase one of a four phased project Project final deliverables include: all data collected, agendas and minutes for planning meetings, and a lake management plan that includes methodologies, results, and management alternatives discussion with an implementation plan. Specific project activities include: 1) Construct approximately 9,400 feet of the dredge-bank; 2) Conduct pre and post water quality monitoring; 3) Monitor response of aquatic plant restoration via two point intercept surveys; 4) Hold public meeting to educate and inform the public; 4) Issue press release to affected clubs and public prior to construction; 5) Generate reports to update the Department and partners of project progress; 6) Submit a Final Report to the Department which summarize project activities along with recommendations of lessons learned. This scope summarizes the project detail provided in the application and does not negate tasks/deliverables described therein. Data, records, and reports, including GIS-based maps, and digital images, must be submitted to the Department in a format specified by the regional Lake Biologist. If consultant is to provide final report, it is recommended that Grantee provide DNR Lake Coordinator with a draft for comment on report adequacy prior to making final payment to the consultant. DNR to receive both paper and electronic .pdf copies of the final report along with, or prior to submission of grantee's final payment request.
