Live plants will be planted & evaluated in a manner consistent with the micro-scale monitoring techniques; 7) Landing kiosks will include Lake Zone maps & channel marker buoys will be placed in the identified navigational lanes in the east basin; 8) USAOC & DNR Dam Safety Engineers to determine what modification will be permitted to the current structure, and/or what requirements need to be met; 9) Estimate nutrient & sediment loads from subwatershed areas draining the 805 sq mi watershed; 10) Demonstrate restorations & employ a 10 year natural shoreline restoration program with 10 demonstration sites will be developed & promoted; 11) Appraise existing tern habitat condition & complete tern management planning. Implement a variety of protection measures; 12) Methodology similar to DNR CHD methods will be employed. 1.4.11 Scope amended to include higher sampling frequency.

Ducks Unlimited: Lmi - Lake Puckaway Habitat Restor,: Dredgebank Restoration - Ph 1: Ducks Unlimited is sponsoring a project on Lake Puckaway to restore aquatic habitat via the reconstruction of a dredge-bank. This is Phase one of a four phased project

Project final deliverables include: all data collected, agendas and minutes for planning meetings, and a lake management plan that includes methodologies, results, and management alternatives discussion with an implementation plan.

Specific project activities include: 1) Construct approximately 9,400 feet of the dredge-bank; 2) Conduct pre and post water quality monitoring; 3) Monitor response of aquatic plant restoration via two point intercept surveys; 4) Hold public meeting to educate and inform the public; 4) Issue press release to affected clubs and public prior to construction; 5) Generate reports to update the Department and partners of project progress; 6) Submit a Final Report to the Department which summarize project activities along with recommendations of lessons learned.

Ducks Unlimited: Lmi - Lake Puckaway Habitat Restor,: Dredgebank Restoration - Ph 2: Ducks Unlimited is sponsoring a management plan implementation project to reconstruct a dredge-bank that will reduce wind/wave energy thereby restoring aquatic plants which in turn will improve water quality in Lake Puckaway. This grant represents Phase 2 of the project. Phase 1 of this project is funded in part with WDNR grant LPT67020.

Specific project activities include: 1) Phase 2 will construct at least 1,000 feet of riprap break-wall. A combined total of 2,500 feet of riprap break-wall will be built as a result of both Phase 1 (grant LPT67020) & Phase 2 grants, 2) Conduct water quality monitoring at 3 stations in 2022 & 2023, 3) Complete two plant surveys, 4) Compare and contrast new plant data with historic plant information.

Project final deliverables include: All design plans, pre/post photographs of project area and a final summary report.

Specific conditions: 1) All permits must be issued before construction, and all regulatory requirements apply. 2) The riprap staging area and boat landing must be maintained and if necessary, restored to pre-project condition.

Montello Lake P&R District: Lmi-Montello Lake Diagnostic Feasibility Study: The Montello Lake Protection and Rehab District proposes to conduct a Diagnostic Feasibility Study on their lake. Little Green Lake P & R District: Res-Little Green Lake Destratification Project: The Little Green Lake Protection & Rehabilitation District proposes to install a circulation system consisting of compressors, air delivery lines, filter system, and a housing structure. The circulation system is designed to ensure sufficient oxygen concentrations in the deep-water areas of the lake. Oxygen in deep-water areas of the lake will reduce the release of phosphorous from the lake sediment and decrease the level of lake fertilization. This will result in improved water clarity and algae conditions thereby improving water quality conditions for recreation and aesthetics.

Local resources to be provided include volunteer services during installatiotn, volunteer services regarding project management, and financial contribution from Green Lake County.

The project deliverables will include design and installation of a system of compressors and airline sufficient to circulate lake water in the deepest portions of the lake generally greater than 15 feet; report of evaluation monitoring of lake nutrient and mixing conditions after the system becomes operational; and, conduct pre and post operation public informational meetings and prepare fact sheets (current lake conditions, descriptions of circ system, goals/benefits/ecological effects).

Little Green Lake P & R District: Acq-Little Green Lake (Scharschmidt) Land Acquisition: The Little Green Lake Protection & Rehabilitation District proposes to purchase 45.61 acres of land known as the Scharschmidt property to help prevent nutrient loading into Little Green Lake.

This project will result in the development of a lake management plan while integrating all partners including the area community. This will be executed via the completion of a diagnostic/
feasibility study on the lake, watershed and tributaries; these elements will be developed and included: water quality monitoring on lakes in the Montello River Basin; water quality monitoring on six tributaries; flow monitoring on six tributaries; model tributary loads to the lake; land use impact assessment via SWAT modeling; internal loading evaluation; physical shoreline assessment; coordination and communications with all partners and public; management options and implementation plan.

Pleasant Lake Improvement Corporation: Lmi-Pleasant Lake Run Off Control: Pleasant Lake Improvement Corporation proposes to implement their stormwater runoff control plan. The project activities include North and South diversions removed and replaced, a speed bump and west edge ramp removed and replaced as called for in the approved plans.

Project deliverables include the following: 1) Employ plan implementation coordinator; 3 year term; 2) Public landing Kiosk Management at 3 Public landings, newsletter development \00BCly, Fact sheet distribution, Lake plan implementation forums 2x/year, Bi-annual regional news releases on progress of plan implementation, Annual status reporting to assc partners & media; 3) Evaluate existing system of gauging stations while maintaining present monitoring schedule, including review for possible enhancements; rapid reporting & graphing, telemetric feasibility, number of stations/locations & estimate of costs; 4) Macro-Scale monitoring strategy will utilize summer aerial photography obtained from FFSA & 3 areas of the lake, Maiden Island, Bluebill Bay & Dead River, will be indexed using a Point-Intercept layout; 5) Radio-telemetry tagging of carp will be implemented; 6) Plot will be established to evaluate the rate of success between natural germination/expansion & artificially enhanced plant beds. Live plants will be planted & evaluated in a manner consistent with the micro-scale monitoring techniques; 7) Landing kiosks will include Lake Zone maps & channel marker buoys will be placed in the identified navigational lanes in the east basin; 8) USAOC & DNR Dam Safety Engineers to determine what modification will be permitted to the current structure, and/or what requirements need to be met; 9) Estimate nutrient & sediment loads from subwatershed areas draining the 805 sq mi watershed; 10) Demonstrate restorations & employ a 10 year natural shoreline restoration program with 10 demonstration sites will be developed & promoted; 11) Appraise existing tern habitat condition & complete tern management planning. Implement a variety of protection measures; 12) Methodology similar to DNR CHD methods will be employed. 1.4.11 Scope amended to include higher sampling frequency.

Ducks Unlimited: Lmi - Lake Puckaway Habitat Restor,: Dredgebank Restoration - Ph 1: Ducks Unlimited is sponsoring a project on Lake Puckaway to restore aquatic habitat via the reconstruction of a dredge-bank. This is Phase one of a four phased project

Project final deliverables include: all data collected, agendas and minutes for planning meetings, and a lake management plan that includes methodologies, results, and management alternatives discussion with an implementation plan.

Specific project activities include: 1) Construct approximately 9,400 feet of the dredge-bank; 2) Conduct pre and post water quality monitoring; 3) Monitor response of aquatic plant restoration via two point intercept surveys; 4) Hold public meeting to educate and inform the public; 4) Issue press release to affected clubs and public prior to construction; 5) Generate reports to update the Department and partners of project progress; 6) Submit a Final Report to the Department which summarize project activities along with recommendations of lessons learned.

Ducks Unlimited: Lmi - Lake Puckaway Habitat Restor,: Dredgebank Restoration - Ph 2: Ducks Unlimited is sponsoring a management plan implementation project to reconstruct a dredge-bank that will reduce wind/wave energy thereby restoring aquatic plants which in turn will improve water quality in Lake Puckaway. This grant represents Phase 2 of the project. Phase 1 of this project is funded in part with WDNR grant LPT67020.

Specific project activities include: 1) Phase 2 will construct at least 1,000 feet of riprap break-wall. A combined total of 2,500 feet of riprap break-wall will be built as a result of both Phase 1 (grant LPT67020) & Phase 2 grants, 2) Conduct water quality monitoring at 3 stations in 2022 & 2023, 3) Complete two plant surveys, 4) Compare and contrast new plant data with historic plant information.

Project final deliverables include: All design plans, pre/post photographs of project area and a final summary report.

Specific conditions: 1) All permits must be issued before construction, and all regulatory requirements apply. 2) The riprap staging area and boat landing must be maintained and if necessary, restored to pre-project condition.

The final summary report will be submitted to the DNR area lake biologist in draft form for comment and approval prior to submittal of finished product.

The project's deliverables are to gather, analyze and summarize historical lake water quality/level data; monitor current water quality; establish water level monitoring sites and begin data collection; desseminate historical data, shallow lake ecology information, management alteratives and current status and challenges; identify user expectations and management potential to arrive at consensus on major goals, issues and priorities. A published summary report including management recommendations will be disseminated to property owners, user groups, local, state and federal officials and the general public.

Lake Puckaway Protection & Rehab District: Lake Puckaway Management Plan: The Lake Puckaway Protection and Rehabilitation District proposes to undertake a comprehensive lake management planning project for Puckaway Lake. The project will consist of collecting, analysing and summarizing new and existing physical, chemical and biological data for the preparation of an educational brochure. A survey will be conducted of lake users and area residents about perceptions, attitudes and expecations for the lake; resident advisory "issue teams" will be organized to develop management strategies addressing these issues. The results of all "issue team" efforts will be summarized in a comprehensive lake management plan. In addition, the goals and objectives for each issue identified by the "issue teams" will be documented. This lake management plan will be developed that will incorporate historical data, current status relative to land use and water quality and the publics' expectations for the future of the lake. It will also describe management alternatives and any conflicts or consequences resulting from multiple uses and expectations for the lake. This plan, the educational brochure and survey results will be presented at the District's annual meeting and through its newsletters, both pre-project and post-project work. The DNR will be provided both a paper copy and an electronic copy of the management plan.

Lake Puckaway Protection & Rehab District: Lake Puckaway Management Plan Study Phase Iii: The Lake Puckaway Protection and Rehab District proposes to conduct phase III of a comprehensive management plan on Lake Puckaway. Project deliverables include shoreline erosion inventory, monitoring and habitat characteristic documentation; and organize a 2-day educational Lake Fair. A public involvement process will be implemented in this phase. The final plan will include: a vision statement, a goal statement, an analysis of issues, goals and objectives, improvement strategy, continued public involvement plan, and guidance for increasing the capacity of the lake district Board. This phase will be conducted within a partnership of the lake community, the Puckaway Management District, WI DNR, UW-Extension and Counties.

Lake Puckaway Protection & Rehab District: Lake Puckaway Management Plan Development Phase 1: The Lake Puckaway Protection & Rehab District proposes to develop a lake plan. The goal of this phased project (phase 1) is to develop a draft lake plan. The deliverable product is a drafted version, as adopted by the Lake Puckaway Protection and Rehabilitation District. Lake Puckaway Protection & Rehab District: Lake Puckaway Comprehensive Management Plan Update: The Lake Puckaway Protection & Rehabilitation District proposes to develop a Comprenensive Lake Management Plan Enhancement. The scope of the project is to review, gather, and interpret lake information with the subsequent development of resource objectives for lake use, water quality, fish, shore lands, watershed, and water levels. Specifically to assesss the lake's historical water quality and fishery; effects of watershed and history of uses; Lake District management actions; to identify target levels and resource protection needs that support goals for water quality, aquatic plants, fish populations and watershed; and assess the lakes historical water levels and implications. This scope is intended to summarize the more specific scope, as provided in the grant application and does not supersede the specific scope elements described with in the application

Lake Puckaway Protection & Rehab District: Lake Puckaway Comprehensive Management Plan: Lake Puckaway Protection and Rehabilitation District is sponsoring a large scale planning grant focused on updating and rewriting sections of their lake management plan.
Project activities include: Phosphorus loading using WiLMS, Shoreline survey, Course woody debris survey, Water quality assessment, Various aquatic plant surveys, Stakeholder survey
Project deliverables include:Comprehensive Lake Management Plan including the following:Research and review past data and relevant lake management records, Phosphorus loading estimates from watershed (WiLMS), Scenarios developed to assess how changes in watershed would impact water quality, Internal load estimates, Shoreline survey, Map delineating the integrity of the shoreline from water\2019s edge to about 35\2019 shoreward, Coarse woody debris map, Water quality assessment, Sample collection following WDNR long term trend monitoring protocol,Chemistry analysis, Dissolved oxygen and temperature profiles, Carlson TSI, Aquatic plant surveys, Early season AIS survey, Point Intercept survey, EWM peak-biomass survey, Aquatic plant community mapping survey, Maps/raw data for all surveys, Comparison with past surveys, Web-based stakeholder survey, Survey results, Develop a water level management plan, Plan must consider the potential new dam that may be constructed, Frequency, degree and duration of drawdowns, Recommendations based on best possible science and stakeholder input, Management, protection, enhancement alternatives and recommendations, Set tangible and realistic management goals, Identify possible ecological restorative projects, Identify possible funding sources.

Town Of Nepeuskun: Town Of Nepeuskun Land Use Plan And Integration: The Town of Nepeuskun proposes to conduct a Land Use/Ordinance Integration Plan . The project deliverables will include a summary report of existing town ordinances; an amended town zoning ordinance; a revised official zoning map; a revised policy for regulatory enforcement of the zoning ordinance; adoption of a driveway construction permitting process; development and adoption of a storm water management and erosion control ordinance; and completion of the process for developing a strategic plan for integrating the town land use plan and zoning ordinance with the Rush Marsh Management Plan.

Lake Puckaway Protection & Rehab District: Lake Puckaway Dredge Bank Feasability Study: The Lake Puckaway Protection and Rehab District proposes to conduct a Historical Dredge Bank Bathymetry project on their lake. Project includes characterizing the depth contours and composition of the existing and subsurface dredge banks; and providing a report including map indicating bank configurations, locations, depths. GPS or GIS integration will be completed. This work will be completed within the lake basin and excludes river reaches.

Lake Puckaway Protection & Rehab District: Lake Puckaway Wind Fetch And Wave Modeling For Habitat Improvement: The Lake Puckaway P & R District is sponsoring a project in partnership the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers to model lake bed sediment re-suspension via use of the Wind / Wave model. Results of the study will be used to plan future habitat restoration projects on this impaired lake system.

Specific project activities include: 1) Run wind /wave model; 2) Hold stakeholder meetings to share results and solicit ideas / input; 3) Re-run model with at least three alternative island configurations.
Project final deliverables include: 1) All data collected, 2) agendas and minutes for planning meetings, 3) and a plan that includes methodologies, results, and management alternatives discussion.

Special Conditions: 1) All data shall be entered into the SWIMS database

Green Lake County: Fox River Water Quality Monitoring Project: Green Lake County's Department of Land Conservation proposes to conduct a water quality monitoring project on the Fox River, from the inlet of Lake Puckaway to Berlin. This project will provide a solid water quality inventory to be used as the basis for future implementation of BMPs within the watershed. The county is partnering with Fox-Wolf 2000 to not only develop a local interest group for the Upper Fox River, but also to enhance the existing Fox-Wolf 2000 group. A final report will detail all results and activities of this project.

The Department of Natural Resources will be provided with both a paper copy and an electronic copy of the final report.

Green Lake County: Green Lake County Fox River Assn & Assessment Project: Green Lake County Land Conservation Department proposes to organize an official management organization with membership representing several municipalities as well as sportsman, recreational and business users along the Fox River. Specifically, Green Lake County will establish a network of volunteers to collect water quality data, host river tours and cleanup days, develop by-laws, appoint a Board of Directors for the newly formed River Association, and develop a river management plan to guide future preservation and restoration efforts. The project elements and deliverables will be completed as described in the project proposal submitted to the Department and dated April 27, 2010.
