WAUSHARA COUNTY: LCO-Waushara County Lake Classification Project (Group A Lakes)

Purpose

Waushara County proposes to conduct lake appraisals and begin development of a County Lake Planning Matrix (CLPM) that considers lake management options based on lake type and condition of a particular lake. Ultimately, in subsequent phases Waushara Co will develop the planning matrix/tool for the County lakes that will guide people through management options. Identifying & prioritizing lake needs will be the outcome relative to I & E, invasive species, trophic state, habitat, and BMP's for shoreline/shore land protection. The content in this scope does not supersede content of the original application w/ specific deliverables commitments. Deliverables include: 1) Complete water quality appraisals for the following lakes (Group A) : Alpine Lake, Beans Lake, Bughs Lake, Curtis Lake, Deer Lake, Fish Lake, Little Hills Lake, Irogami Lake, Lake Huron, Long Lake, Marl Lake, Pine Lake, Pleasant Lake, Silver Lake, West Branch Mill P.(White River), White River Fl (Lower Pond), Witters Lake. 2) Staff- Complete hire of water quality specialist and implement seasonal water monitoring on Group A lakes per schedule specified. 3) UWSP coordination and integration - Coordinate data management and lake appraisal actions, I&E, including reporting. 4) Water tests- Complete chemical analysis of lake water for multiple parameters during seasonal target periods (summer, winter, spring overturn). 5) Complete volunteer initiatives for local in-kind service commitment. 6) Phased project deliverable Quarterly Progress Status Reports. The sponsor shall be responsible for development and provide a schedule of reporting prior to project initiation.
