The Montello Lake Protection and Rehab District proposes to conduct a Diagnostic Feasibility Study on their lake. This project will result in the development of a lake management plan while integrating all partners including the area community. This will be executed via the completion of a diagnostic/ feasibility study on the lake, watershed and tributaries; these elements will be developed and included: water quality monitoring on lakes in the Montello River Basin; water quality monitoring on six tributaries; flow monitoring on six tributaries; model tributary loads to the lake; land use impact assessment via SWAT modeling; internal loading evaluation; physical shoreline assessment; coordination and communications with all partners and public; management options and implementation plan.
