Waushara County is continuing their county-wide study of 33 lakes. All the field work has been completed and phase 3 involves lake management plan development and distribution of information/data gathered The following work activities will be completed in Grant 3: 1. Lake management plan development 2. Public Meetings for each lake a. Introduction meeting b. Information and planning meetings (3 meetings) c. Public presentation meeting 5. Review of existing regulatory framework a. In particular, zoning regulations and comprehensive plans will be examined 6. Targeted messaging for riparian landowners in Waushara County 7. Waushara County Lake Fair participation a. Highlight things being done by lake groups to keep the county lakes in good shape. B. Update current efforts and the status of Phase I & II of the lakes classification project.
