HARRY & LAURA NOHR CHAPTER OF TROUT UNLIMITE: Blue River Zadrazil Property 2020-21

Purpose

The Harry and Laura Nohr Chapter of Trout Unlimited is sponsoring a project to stabilize banks and restore trout habitat along the Blue River in Grant County. This project will take place on the Zadrazil property; a parcel recently acquired by the DNR fisheries management streambank easement program. This project received partial funding and was awarded $1,025.60 of the requested $50,000. They will use this funding to complete a portion of the restoration work described in a plan developed by NRCS to restore habitat and reduce erosion on the Zadrazil property. Therefore, deliverables include conducting as much bank stabilization/sloping as the budget allows. They will also mulch and seed the work area to minimize erosion. This scope summarizes the project detail provided in the application and does not negate tasks/deliverables described therein. Data, records, and reports, including GIS-based maps, and digital images, must be submitted to the Department in a format specified by the regional water quality biologist.
