Purpose
Oconto County LCD is sponsoring a phased County Wide Lake Study and Planning Project for all lakes in Oconto County with public access. This grant includes shoreland inventories, aquatic plant surveys, and capacity assessment/building for Group 6 Lakes.
Deliverables: Shoreland inventory and aquatic plant point intercept survey spatial data summarized in tables, graphs, and maps. Mini reports for each lake containing: key maps and graphs with interpretations of shoreland inventory and aquatic plant point intercept survey data. Summary report of all lakes in project comparing: feet shoreland needing restoration; number of structures; sites with erosion; AIS; rake fullness; dominant or unique species; FQI; species lists; etc. Capacity assessment of groups and lake front property owners to identify needs for capacity development through Meet Your Scientist/Capacity Building Meetings. Summary of information shared and important considerations/issue generated at Meet Your Scientist/Capacity Building Meetings.
Activities: 1) Shoreland Inventories; 2) Aquatic Plant Point Intercept Surveys; 3) Meet Your Scientist/Capacity Building Meetings; 4) Project Coordination of field activities and partners.
Special Conditions: Shoreland and Aquatic Plant survey efforts should not be duplicated and this data shall be included in final reporting.
The scope summarizes the project detail provided in the application and does not negate tasks/deliverables described therein. Data, records, and reports, including GIS-based maps, and digital images, must be submitted to the Department in a format specified by the regional Lake Biologist.
If consultant is to provide final report, it is recommended that Grantee provide DNR Lake Coordinator with a draft for comment on report adequacy prior to making final payment to the consultant. DNR to receive both paper and electronic .pdf copies of the final report along with, or prior to submission of grantee's final payment request.Related Reports
