OCONTO COUNTY: CLG - Oconto County Lake Study and Planning, Phase 1, Grant 15

Purpose

The Oconto County Land and Conservation Department is sponsoring a multi-phased project to develop a County Wide Lake Study and Planning Project for all lakes in Oconto County with public access. This grant includes water quality sample collection and interpretation on Group 6 lakes (Boulder, Round, Long, Pickerel, Halfmoon, Chain). Project final deliverables include: Water quality sampling, lab analysis, modeling, and reporting for each lake. Updated the bathymetry on each lake. Mini reports created for each lake containing: sections summarizing water quality by season and parameter with brief interpretations and graphs, and updated bathymetry maps. Summary report comparing the individual lakes water quality results with all other lakes in project. Specific project activities include: 1) Water sampling, lab analysis, and reporting (CLMN when possible); 2) Bathymetry Special Conditions: 1) CLMN efforts should not be duplicated and these data shall be included in the trends and analysis and final reporting; 2) All CLMN shall be entered into the SWIMS database This scope summarizes the project detail provided in the application and does not negate tasks/deliverables described therein. Data, records, and reports, including GIS-based maps, and digital images, must be submitted to the Department in a format specified by the regional Lake Biologist. If consultant is to provide final report, it is recommended that Grantee provide DNR Lake Coordinator with a draft for comment on report adequacy prior to making final payment to the consultant. DNR to receive both paper and electronic .pdf copies of the final report along with, or prior to submission of grantee's final payment request.
