BEAVER DAM LAKE IMPROVEMENT ASSOCIATION: COMP - Rakes Bay Subwatershed of Beaver Dam Lake Analysis

Purpose

Beaver Dam Lake Improvement Association is sponsoring a project to restore wetland hydrology and Rakes Bay, an important contributor of phosphorus to Beaver Dam Lake, Dodge County. Specific project activities include: 1) data gap analysis, water quality and sediment monitoring, 2) use PC-SWMM model to predict water quality benefits, 3) community outreach opportunities provided, 4) evaluate upstream drainage area for specific bmps, 5) determine recommendations, funding and implementation schedule and present final report to a community public meeting. Project final deliverables include: 1) all raw data collected under the grant in format acceptable to the department, a technical memo comparing existing model with monitored flows, summary of current flow and water quality data, a map of utilities in project area, topo maps with soils data; 2) results of PC-SWMM model with summary of resulting analyses, 3) summary of community outreach, 4) maps and graphics summarizing the evaluation of bmps and final recommendations to protect Rakes Bay, 5) final report including recommendations, funding and implementation schedule. This scope summarizes the project detail provided in the application and does not negate tasks/deliverables described therein. Data, records, and reports, including GIS-based maps, and digital images, must be submitted to the Department in a format specified by the regional Lake Biologist. If consultant is to provide final report, it is recommended that Grantee provide DNR Lake Coordinator with a draft for comment on report adequacy prior to making final payment to the consultant. DNR to receive both paper and electronic .pdf copies of the final report along with, or prior to submission of grantee's final payment request
