Purpose
The Morris Lakes Management District is sponsoring a grant to monitor changes to various lake conditions relative to a winter drawdown of the Morris Lake system.
Project final deliverables include: All data collected, agendas and minutes for planning meetings, and a project report that includes methodologies, results, and a management ramifications / alternatives discussion in final report.
Specific project activities include: 1) In-lake water quality monitoring; 2) Conduct four different types of aquatic plant surveys; 3) Conduct bathymetric sonar mapping of lake bed 4) Compare / contrast pre and post bathymetric data for changes in lake depth and hydrologic volume; 4) Inform and educate lake stakeholders about results of drawdown.
This scope summarizes the project detail provided in the application and does not negate tasks/deliverables described therein. Data, records, and reports, including GIS-based maps, and digital images, must be submitted to the Department in a format specified by the regional Lake Coordinator. It is recommended that Grantee provide DNR Lake Coordinator with a draft of final report for comment on report adequacy prior to making final payment to the consultant.Related Reports
