NORTH LAKELAND DISCOVERY CENTER: Manitowish Waters Chain of Lakes Aquatic Plant Studies - Phase I - Rest Lake

Purpose

The North Lakeland Discovery Center is sponsoring an aquatic plant studies project on Rest Lake. Project final deliverables include: Aquatic plant data, educational and outreach events/products, PL biocontrol, data entry into SWIMS, final reports. Specific project activities include: 1) Aquatic plant PI survey and community mapping 2) Lake/AIS educational and outreach activities 3) Early season AIS/CLP meander surveys 4) PL and SWF monitoring 5) PL biocontrol 6) SWIMS monitoring data entry 7) Develop final reports Special Conditions: Final reports need Department review and approval. This scope summarizes the project detail provided in the application and does not negate tasks/deliverables described therein. Data, records, and reports, including GIS-based maps, and digital images, must be submitted to the Department in a format specified by the regional Lake Biologist.
