Purpose
The Gilbert Lake Advancement Association is sponsoring a project to monitor and manage Eurasian Water Milfoil (EWM) via DASH and hand harvesting within Gilbert Lake.
Project final deliverables include: all data collected, agendas and minutes for planning meetings, and an APM plan update, specifically an EWM management strategy, that includes methodologies, results, and management alternatives discussion with an implementation plan.
Specific project activities include: 1) Plan, implement, and monitor 20 days of hand harvesting (10 in 2022, 10 in 2023); 2) Conduct a point intercept survey in 2023; 3) Conduct a strategic planning teleconference; 4) annual project reports; 5) Aquatic plant management plant update.
Special Conditions: DASH harvesting of EWM requires a permit from the DNR.
This scope summarizes the project detail provided in the application and does not negate tasks/deliverables described therein. Data, records, and reports, including GIS-based maps, and digital images, must be submitted to the Department in a format specified by the regional Lake Biologist.
The Grantee shall provide the DNR Lake Coordinator with a draft final report for comment on adequacy prior to making final payment to the consultant. DNR is to receive an electronic .pdf copies of the final report along with, or prior to submission of grantee's final payment request.Related Reports
